A Valentine’s Poem From a Frugal Female

This Valentine’s Day please save your money,
I don’t need a present to prove you’re my honey.

I don’t care about flowers or chocolate or rings,
I’m all about experiences and memories, not things.

And yes, I realize my frugality isn’t romantic,
But come March I’ll be pissed if our bill is gigantic.

So maybe this year we can both just agree,
To do something fun, it doesn’t have to be free.

Let’s go for a hike or a skate or a ski,
The day will be perfect if it’s just you and me.

I love you forever and always my dear,
But waste $50 bucks on chocolates and you’ll hear.

A lecture about spending and saving and wealth,
And how lot’s of chocolate is bad for your health.

So this Valentine’s day let’s do something together,
You know my motto, the cheaper, the better.

I love you sweet man, you’re my absolute fave,
But put away you’re wallet, this V-Day we save.
